LA County Supervisor Kuehl will speak about politics, Los Angeles, California and Harvard.
The evening will begin with a networking reception at 6:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
The remarks will be followed by a Q & A session.

LA County Supervisor Sheila Kuehl was elected to the LA County Board of Supervisors in 2014 and served eight years in the California State Senate and six years in the California State Assembly. She is the Founding Director of the Public Policy Institute at Santa Monica College and, in 2012, was Regents’ Professor in Public Policy at UCLA. She was the first woman in California history to be named Speaker Pro Tempore of the Assembly and is and the first openly gay or lesbian person to be elected to the California Legislature. Supervisor Kuehl has taught at USC, UCLA and Loyola’s law schools. She authored numerous bills relating to families, children and domestic violence.
