Join the Harvard Law School Association of Los Angeles for a virtual screening of the Academy Award nominated The Trial of the Chicago 7 on Tuesday, May 4 at 5 pm pacific.  The first fifteen people to register will receive a free bag of gourmet popcorn!

The Trial of the Chicago 7 tells the story of the trial following the protests at the 1968 Democratic Convention.  It has an all-star cast featuring Eddie Redmayne, Sacha Baron Cohen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Michael Keaton.  It has been nominated for 6 Academy Awards including Best Picture and Best Supporting Actor (Sacha Baron Cohen).  Aaron Sorkin’s screenplay for The Trial of the Chicago 7 won Best Screenplay at the Golden Globes.  At the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the film won Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

The virtual screening will occur on Netflix’s Teleparty App.  You will need a Netflix subscription to participate in the Movie Night and will need to download Teleparty prior to Movie Night.  Download information will be sent to those who register.

The film is Rated R for language throughout, some violence, bloody images and drug use.
